Are you looking for cloud subtitle/caption editor with team access?

We have been searching for a subtitle solution for many years whereby we can give colleagues and clients access to edit subtitles on an online platform alongside the video, then download a team-edited subtitle file to embed/burn into the video. 

That solution is actually very hard to find, however there is one way that has proven to be successful and it’s staring us all in the face. Using Youtube subtitle editor allows you to all edit a Google Doc, albeit one with whereby everybody has takes turn.

• Step 1: Export your video to Youtube format
• Step 2: Create a subtitle specific account for Youtube, not your company account. This is where all your subtitle projects will go and the login will be shared with your team.
• Step 3: Upload your video and any captions created elsewhere
• Step 4: Set your video to private
• Step 5: Use the editor and share login details to other team members
• Step 6: Once everyone has done a pass, download the captions, bring back into your Premiere project and export with captions burnt in.

The big benefit of the above is that it reduces the back-and-forth between client re: subtitles. It also uses a very user-friendly mainstream platform to do this i.e. it’s accessible and stable.
